This past May violence erupted throughout northern Myanmar and there was a influx of displaced children. We're helping to support a new orphanage to give these children a loving home, basic needs, and education.

This new orphanage will be the 13th of a network of 12 existing orphanages in the Yangon area (Love Children's Home), which have sheltered thousands of kids over the years. KK Children’s Home currently has twelve boys and girls, most of whom come from the Rakhine state, where war ravaged their homes and families. The orphanage provides a home with safety, physical and mental nourishment, the opportunity to attend school, and love that would seldom be found in the climate and community that they come from.

With your help, we can provide these children and others who need love
with a place they can call home.  The money we raise will fund the following building projects and needs:

-3 bamboo buildings ($2,500 each)

-Toilet ($1,800)

-Food (curry, rice, and meat if we have enough funds)

-School tuition & tutoring (currently, under 10% of the population graduates highschool due to the poor education system)

-Clothing, medical supplies and basic necessities. 

After we establish basic needs, our goal is to implement an education program designed to break the cycle of poverty and to help the children flourish as adults.
