The Austin Area Urban League Young Professionals (AAULYP) hosted our signature Kicks & Cocktails fundraising event on March 25th, 2022 to kickstart our advocacy initiatives supporting the unhoused communities in Austin. 

We believe that everyone deserves access to safety and dignity. Our unhoused neighbors currently lack necessities, shelter, and resources to survive in Austin. From March 25th until August 2022, we aim to secure $15,000 to support our unhoused advocacy initiatives. Our goal is to supply fundamental necessities, mental health resources, and critical feminine products, for our unhoused neighbors.

The Austin Area Urban League Young Professionals (AAULYP) group is an auxiliary of the Austin Area Urban League 501c(3). We exist to empower young professionals between the ages of 21-40 to make a difference in the Greater Austin area through community activism and membership development. 

AAULYP's purpose is to build a positive synergy throughout the Austin community that will advance activism in this new age.  Our mission is to support our Austin Area Urban League affiliate through humanitarianism and philanthropy by “Partying With A Purpose.” In the past decade, the AAULYPs have engaged in programming supporting small businesses, youth development, and homelessness. 

We uplift the vision of the Austin Area Urban League, and we are committed to carrying on its legacy of empowering communities and changing lives. We advocate with our host affiliate by providing opportunities for young professionals to get involved with the Urban League movement nationally and locally.
