Alaska State Sno-x Lions Club : April 2022

Mission statement:

Given the situation in Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis a team of people and corporations has quickly sprung into action. Working with local strategic partners, such as local Lyons clubs, Lions Club International, veteran groups as well as people who are from Ukraine with family still in the region. 

Our goal is to provide a small group of veterans and volunteers to assist in operations. Provide medicine, medical supplies, safety equipment, food, clothing and child care provisions and other essentials to the people fleeing the conflict in Ukraine with little more then the clothes on their back. We are also focused on providing support to the orphaned children in order to ensure their safety and security in these hard times. 

All donations help us enact these missions and assist in the care of those who have been so quickly removed from their homes.

Alaska State Sno-x Lions Club: Will send a seven person team on April 15th to help continued evacuation for families that don’t have transportation to the Polish border (i.e. they will be moving families from Lions Club Ukraine to Lions Club Poland and in conjunction with Aerial Recovery Group move other authorized evacuees to Poland see below) in addition they will oversee movement of donated items from Alaska to both the Lions Club of Poland or the Lions Club of Ukraine.

Things they need: Money donations to cover the transportation and lodging costs for the volunteer team, any of the items listed above as they will bring what they can with them and then send the rest to Poland and bring into Ukraine on each of their evacuation runs, Garmin in-reach x 7,

Aerial Recovery Group: Direct evacuation of families from Ukraine to Poland with special emphasis on orphans. They have Ukrainian authorization to move and track families (to prevent human trafficking) unlike most of the groups helping. Things they need: Seven person volunteer teams with medical and/or military experience (like what Alaska Lions Club is doing), Money donations, Iridium phones, Garmin in-reach, body armor vests (note these have to be hand carried as they are ITARS/EAR items).
