OUR TIME AND FUTURE
For over six (6) years, people from the community have given their time and their lives to ensure that our organization, BAMS Fest remains a cultural institution that pushes and disrupts the narrative and identity of Boston's present and future.
Boston's future has the potential of being resilient, equitable, inclusive, fair and forward-thinking - especially when it comes to supporting our work.
Supporting BAMS Fest means that you are invested in racial and social change, program accessibility, spatial justice, economic and creative workforce development, and the healing power of how artists and their work bring us all together, regardless of our differences.
Despite the challenges of a multi-tiered pandemic (health, racial, and economic), we have persevered through tears, hard work and sacrifice to ensure that we "walk our talk" of creating opportunity for audiences and artists of color to experience each other and the world they want to be in.
In 2021, we have achieved some amazing milestones:
How can you help?
General Operating Support:
Did you know that BAMS Fest staff volunteer their time? While this is noble, it is not sustainable, equitable or inclusive. We are aiming to grow our organizational capacity to a healthy and lean team of qualified people who can transition our organization into the next phase. Your support invests in our ability to elevate our "walk and talk" of racial and social change, and economic and creative workforce development.
Over the next three years, we are working to equip our organization with a small shop of five (5) paid strategic thinkers and ambassadors who are excited to position arts and culture as a focal point of conversation and action.
BAMS Festival
Established in June 2018, Boston Art & Music Soul Festival became a cultural necessity of convening, connection and discovery that built a local-to-global community in a meaningful way.
From 2022-2028, our intention is to scale this festival to a two and a half (2.5) day experience across the 527-acre green space of Franklin Park. It will take long-term financial investment to manifest this vision - AND it is possible with your help.
