Friends - Please join me in supporting Beginning with Children, an impactful organization that has launched a Let’s Talk Series in celebration of their 30th anniversary. The Let’s Talk series is a series of conversations with leaders and emerging voices to talk about racial equity and diversity and the role corporations, schools and organizations play in building pathways to industries that historically lack diversity.
I've volunteered with Beginning with Children for the past 2 years, including hosting a Career Lunch series last January for Beginning with Children students at Barclays and I would love to continue my support this year by asking for you to join me in contributing to their Let’s Talk series. Every donation, no matter the size, is appreciated.
Who is Beginning with Children?
Beginning with Children is a small network of Brooklyn charter schools with a BIG purpose: to provide rich educational environments that nurture students’ intellect and ambitions and connect learning to the world beyond the classroom. This year, Beginning with Children will expand to serve high school students and will open its doors to the first 9th grade class in the fall. Beginning with Children also has a Legacy Network which is where I volunteered, and is a high school and college success program. Starting as early as middle school, the Legacy Network works with students to get to and through college.
