The 400 B.L.A.C.K Youth Mentoring Program's goal is to develop strong, driven, confident and whole young men throughout the Benton Harbor community. We pair young men, ages 10-17, with community mentors. These young men gain support and enrichment in education, mental health, career and life skills, and community advocacy and leadership. This is done through one-on-one and group mentoring activities.
Our goal is to connect youth to other community supports services while using experiential learning to teach healthy strategies to work on the targeted aforementioned areas. This program aims to improve the academic achievement, self-esteem, and social competence of youth involved in the program. We also educate on peer mediation and conflict resolution practices, to encourage avoidance of high risk situations.
Your donations are key to helping us provide the quality programming essential to make an impact to our kids who need it most.
