We are the Service Ninjas, a fifth-grade Destination Imagination team of six from Miller Elementary in Midlothian, Texas. We are participating in a service learning challenge. We are partnering with our community and Bridges To Prosperity to help build footbridges in Uganda. The people of Uganda need bridges because people drown when the waters get high and some even die from medical issues because they cannot get to healthcare.  Students there cannot always get to school when the river is too high. Many families live in poverty because they are not able to find jobs or get to the market to sell crops.
