Campaign Description

John's faith was very important to him. While he was alive, he had offered his help to the Children's Rosary, volunteering to help fill shipping barrels of handmade rosaries for children in Uganda. He never had a chance to fill those barrels himself, but we do not want this to be something left undone. In the Bible it says we are called to "bear fruit that will remain" (John 15:16). We are told in the Gospel of Mark to bring forth fruit some "thirty and sixty and a hundredfold" (Mark 4:20). We use these words as inspiration to see John's life bring an abundance of fruit some hundredfold or even a thousandfold or greater. To this end we would like to send at least 24,000 handmade rosaries to the children in Uganda to help them start Children's Rosary prayer groups or to help existing groups. This will honor each of the 24 years John lived. It will take 3 shipping barrels to fit the rosaries and additional prayer materials to help start the prayer groups. Twenty-four thousand children will be helped by these efforts. The cost of the three barrels will be $3,000; we would like to reach this goal and even surpass it. Let us do something amazing in memory of John and help thousands of children grow deeper in the faith that was so important to John.
