The North Coast Resource Conservation & Development Council (NCRC&DC) was formed and officially incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2002 to serve Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake Counties. We are one of hundreds of Resource Conservation & Development Council (RC&DCs) across the nation formed to advance the conservation of natural, agricultural, and human resources. Since our founding, NCRC&DC has implemented numerous projects that make an local impact in climate change, water conservation, and pollinator habitat through our many programs.
In 2020, we adopted our current name, Conservation Works. This change was made to more accurately and succinctly reflect who we are and what we do: Conservation at Work and that Conservation as a solution Works!
Today, Conservation Works continues to implement on-the-ground impact projects across our four County region through programs including Kids Creek Care, Bee Patches, and Cultivating Commerce. From engaging youth in creek health, to protecting pollinator habitat, and supporting local agriculture, you can find us building sustainable communities all across the North Bay.
