What is this campaign?

The Dublin Irish Festival honors the dedication of its youth volunteers by investing in their futures with scholarships. The Festival awards two non-renewable $2,500 scholarships to graduating high school senior volunteers who have demonstrated a commitment to the Festival through volunteerism and service. Leen Shamruhk Bio

"When I think of the beginning of August, I think of the Dublin Irish Festival. Growing up in Dublin, the Festival has always been more than just a summer tradition – it’s a celebration of community, culture, and connection. I began volunteering in eighth grade at the sustainability tent through 614 Our Future, a nonprofit started by a family friend. That experience sparked my passion for service and environmental education. Since then, I’ve become an officer in the organization, leading interactive activities that teach children and adults about sustainability. From running craft and composting stations to creating educational displays, I’ve loved seeing people from all over the world come together in our small city to learn and celebrate. Inspired by this community impact, I plan to study neuroscience on the pre-med track and become a pediatric oncologist. My long-term goal is to start a nonprofit that brings healthcare access to underserved children worldwide."

Akash Ravipati Bio

"The Dublin Irish Festival is a place where I can give back and help the community. I have been involved since 6th grade, and every experience has been great. Meeting and interacting with new people has been a great experience for me, and I hope to continue for many years to come.  I plan to attend Purdue University in the fall to major in Data Science. I hope to leverage my skills to benefit society in the technology field."
