Food is the great connector. To “break bread” with one another is the exhale after the day’s hard work, the time for laughter, celebration, and togetherness. Elmwood Farm holds hospitality at the heart of its mission. To nourish the community, we would love to build a kitchen that is truly workable, exciting, and one with the farm. Outdoor live-fire grills, a wood-fired oven, walk-in cooler for veggie and food storage, and even an industrial dishwasher are eventual goals for the kitchen. We want to take the gift of this space seriously and make it available to all folks who love to use it, local chefs and neighbors alike. Community meals, cooking classes, and special projects like produce fermentation await!
