Domestic Violence, in all its forms, destroys people, families, and our community. 1 in 4 women (24.3%) and 1 in 7 men (13.8%) have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. These numbers are staggering. Children exposed to violence in the home are 15 times more likely to be physically and/or sexually assaulted than the national average. Help me, and the Family Support Center of South Sound, bring awareness to the issue and help the victims of our community to get the support they so desperately need and deserve. No one should EVER think being abused, physically, sexually, verbally is OK. Let our community know WE WILL STAND TOGETHER AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
