Two and a half years ago I left my 30 year-old profession in technology to dedicate my time and efforts to helping planet earth and the human race move towards sustainable energy. SolarCity had just opened up the Vermont territory and I was lucky enough to land a job in this great state I call home. Within a year, Tesla acquired us, and our mission was now "Accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy" behind the exceptional vision and efforts of Elon Musk. Along the way I have learned that over a billion people worldwide live each day with out electricity and over 800 million without access to safe water. Though my day-to-day existence will continue to focus on sustainable energy efforts, I am compelled to improve life at the ground level for individuals and communities that suffer from a lack of basic necessities. And so, I am raising money for a trek to Nepal with a 5-person crew of current and former Tesla employees who embody the necessary talents, grit and passion for making a difference one village at a time.
