Rainy season has begun – red clay turns to red rivers of mud, filling pathways that are hard to walk through on dry days. Imagine walking through these muddy streams, covering up with whatever you can manage, but still soaked when you reach your destination. This is the common experience in Burundi where only certain areas are paved and coverings rarely waterproof.
The umbrellas given to the previous sewing/discipleship group were a huge blessing as they all walked to the Homecare center. We would like to “shower blessings” on the current group with umbrellas to help them as many walk a number of miles faithfully every day to learn, worship, study and grow together. As we look forward to Valentine’s Day, what a great way to show Jesus’ care and reminding them that they are covered by His protection and love always.
