This May, we’re coming together to celebrate Mental Health Awareness and Older Americans Month.
At HopeLine, we understand that mental health challenges don’t always manifest as a crisis. Sometimes, they manifest as quiet loneliness, long days without conversation, or navigating illness and loss without support. For many older adults, this is a reality. Through our Reassurance Program, trained HopeLine advocates made over 4,500 outbound calls last year to individuals who are isolated, homebound, or living with ongoing health challenges. These calls provide connection, comfort, and a critical safety net for participants and their families.
💛 A Simple Call Can Change Everything — Roger's Story
"The motto of HOPELINE is 'You Talk, We Listen.' And I have to say, that is exactly how I found this wonderful organization. I am a senior male and have been suffering from depression and anxiety for two long years. I reached out to HopeLine months ago, and just being able to speak with their caring volunteers on a weekly basis helped me not feel alone.
I talked. He listened. He was smart, attentive to my needs, and helpful to my suffering.
So, I just want to say a heartfelt 'Thank you' to HopeLine. If you are suffering from depression, anxiety, or any other related mental health issue like I was, please give them a call. Their services are FREE and extremely worth reaching out to them.
Thanks again, HopeLine." — Roger
🎯 Our Goal: $10,000
