Abraham Mayik is a dedicated student of Clinical Medicine and Public Health at the Juba Institute of Health Sciences, set to complete his studies in August 2027. Born in the remote village of Rumabuoth, nearly ten hours from Tonj South, Abraham is the sixth of eighteen children in a family of farmers. His early years were spent in the cattle camp, as his father prioritised traditional responsibilities over formal education. Despite these challenges, Abraham’s academic promise shone through—his teachers recognized his excellence and advocated for his continued schooling. 

In 2021, Abraham began working with In Deed and Truth Ministries. His commitment to his faith and his community quickly became evident to his leaders. Although financial difficulties once threatened to halt his education, Abraham is deeply grateful to In Deed and Truth Ministries for the scholarship that now enables him to pursue his studies. He is determined to use his new skills to serve God and his community alongside IDAT.

Abraham’s journey has not been easy, but he credits God’s protection and guidance for his survival and success. Above all, he expresses profound gratitude to God for the opportunity to further his education, striving to honor this blessing through academic excellence and steadfast prayer.
