As we move into year three of programming, we need the communities support to continue our mission of teaching our youngest runners the value of exercise on their physical/mental health. Weather it is walking, running, skipping or jumping, students will move for 5-10 minutes every morning before learning occurs. Our program was piloted at Fall Hamilton Elementary in 2021. We expanded into three new Nashville Elementary schools during the 2022 school year  serving over 1,000 students and 40 teachers! We hope to continue to expand our programing as we approach the 2023-2023 school year!

We love to reward our students for running with incentive prizes that they may not be able to afford! (water bottles, shoelaces, folder, etc.)

Spring Fun Run

In 2022 we hosted our second celebratory Spring Fun Run with over 1500 students and 200 parents in attendance!  Participants enjoyed a morning of fitness and fun by running 1 mile around Two Rivers Park. We know that our schools have very limited funds, so we make this event FREE of cost to all of our partner schools.  Donations are needed in order to make this run special for all of our students! Your donation will help provide transportation, t-shirts, healthy snacks, participant medals and more.

Move! Music City Staff Member

In order to make the most impact at our schools, Move! Music City hopes to be able to hire an executive director to be the face of the organization, and continue to form strong relationships with teachers and students at all of our partner schools.

Continued Education for Teachers & Parents

We want to continue to educate our teachers on the importance of movement throughout the school day by hosting professional development sessions. Our goal is also to host a few family nights to educate our students families on how to create a healthy & happy home life by adding in more physical activity!
