Northeastern Men's Rowing
Northeastern Men’s Rowing was founded in 1965. The team has always been a group of common men with an uncommon desire to achieve something great together, and so they have through its history. The legacy continues amongst us, and we keep on striving for success. We realize that we are a very fortunate group of people that are lucky to be able to combine such a great sport with top of the line academics at Northeastern University.
We are also thankful for being in good health to be able to perform in one of the most physical demanding sports there are out there. However, we are aware that not everyone is that lucky. We, the Northeastern Men’s Rowing Team, would therefore like to give back to people in need and support good causes that promote R&D, support, and awareness around health issues. We therefore found the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation as a perfect fit .
Connor was a keen rower with a dream of rowing for a US college but brain cancer robbed him of chance to try.
Northeastern teammate Andrew Maglio rowed with Connor at their high school in Melbourne Australia. Rowing is an international sport and finding a cure will take an international effort & approach.
A portion of the funds raised will support Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and their work on pediatric brain cancer.

Supporting the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation brain matters
Inspired by a big heart and brain, the Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation was created in 2013 in the memory of 18 year old American born Robert Connor Dawes. We are battling brain tumours and supporting pediatric brain matters in the areas of Research, Care and Development in Australia & the United States. This involves contributing funds to brain tumour Research, supporting young people with at home rehabilitation Care like music & yoga therapy, as well as Development initiatives inspiring the next generation of brain cancer practitioners & researchers.
