Hi, I'm Floris and I'm fundraising for Sungai Watch.

Sungai Watch is an amazing environmental charity in Bali. It's mission is to clean up the rivers there by installing simple trash barriers to stop so much plastic from entering the ocean. The charity collects the litter, sorts it and manages it effectively.

It's also a charity which I have a personal connection with, having worked there over my summer holidays.

Our aim in this fundraiser is to raise £5000 to become barrier sponsors:

• This money will cover the cost of installing and maintaining one barrier for a year and will guarantee the removal of at least 1500kg of plastic.
• The money will also ensure that each piece of trash is responsibly processed.
• If that's not enough, the money will also go towards hosting outreach sessions and providing community awareness.

As Sungai Watch seeks to install 1,000 barriers throughout Indonesia's most polluted rivers, your money will help them achieve their mission one barrier at a time.

Our fundraiser is modeled on Sungai Watch's hands-on approach. 10 courageous members of Eton's environment committee and students at Holyport College along with a few teachers will run/jog/walk a half marathon along the Thames and the Jubilee River, picking up litter along the way.

Sungai Watch raises in USD and can only accept payments in the UK via cards. What you enter in USD will be debited from your card in GBP (£).  Actual amounts debited will depend on the exchange rate on the day and any bank charges.
