Participants can choose between a fun run with a $35 entry fee or the competitive Ruff Ruck, which challenges participants to complete 12 miles in 3 hours with a 30-pound ruck. The event promises to be both physically demanding and rewarding, symbolizing the strength and dedication of our veterans." Registration for the event begins at 11a at Wonderland Distillery on October 19th. From there the "ruck" should take about 3-4 hours for those participating in the full run with the weight upon their back. Back at Wonderland, you'll find the festivities going on from the silent auction to the 50/50 and of course their delicious hand crafted cocktails.

Tony Laskowicz was the guy who did that original run for the funding needed for the sick dog a few years ago and through his business endeavors and other fundraisers, he's been able to make quite an impact in our community. Adding in business partner Stephen Parent and combining their tools, talents and contacts, to work together has been incredible and the effort that goes into helping provide a service dog which begins at the stage of their being a puppy....well, it's an expensive ordeal. To help those in need who can't afford it, that's the goal.
