Help Vocal Justice Expand!

Since 2021, we've partnered with 77 educators over the last three years to implement and refine our Youth Power Curriculum with over 1300 young people throughout the country. This year, 90% of our youth participants reported that VJ improved their self-awareness, and 93% reported that it improved their understanding of the world.

So far the classroom has been our main site of disruption. But, guided by our strategic plan, we’re now taking our impact even further. 

Over the next three years, we’ll:

• Train over 200 teachers on how to integrate social justice and youth power into any classroom.
• Pay and support 350 youth leaders to put Vocal Justice into action in their communities.
• Support school leaders to nurture and amplify youth voice in their school communities.

We’ve already started to lay the groundwork. In November 2023, we engaged nearly 60 Detroit teachers, who collectively touch over 5000 students, in a professional development workshop on storytelling and youth activism, scaling our reach and impact.
