On Saturday, October 7 from noon to 6 p.m., Water Life Hope is putting on an event: “Row For Life” at CrossFit Decatur.

Board members Ed Buckley and Eric Willis will each lead a team of 6 rowers who will row for 6 hours on high tech rowing machines that will count each calorie burned.  We expect the teams to row in the neighborhood of 5000 to 6000 calories.

Sponsors for this event have pledged to donate flat amounts ranging from $250 to $1000 dollars; however, we are also accepting bids for each team before and during Saturday's event. If you pledge $.01/calorie, you can expect your total donation to be approximately $50 to $60 dollars.  Per calorie bids can be noted in the comments section on the payment page - please be sure to include your contact information.  All flat rate donations are welcome! 

All of the money raised for this event will go toward Water Life Hope's most recent projects: rebuilding a school in Cavaillon Haiti that was destroyed by Hurricane Matthew and shipping over 30,000 bottles of water to Puerto Rico.
