Donations in memory of my mom, Natalie Saltiel, will help to provide literacy support and mentorship to Chicago students.

My mom’s volunteer work with WITS at Manierre Elementary School was deeply meaningful to her. She believed that the love of and dedication to learning could change lives for the better and wanted to encourage the children she met to develop a love of learning and to feel supported. Her care for each child she tutored was deep as was her desire that they believe in themselves and celebrate their accomplishments. She was honored to be a consistent part of their lives. My mom encouraged her friends to volunteer and was committed to her belief that doing for others is a necessary part of life. She was proud of of having lent a hand and felt inspired by trying to make a difference.
