In a desperate effort to stay warm during the freezing winter, Butters had taken shelter in a car engine.
In the aftermath, a compassionate human found Butters on death’s door. He had severe burns on his head which had become infected — ravaging his entire body. Additionally, he was emaciated from extreme hunger and suffering the effects of exposure to winter’s arctic chill.
Thankfully, his rescuer knew that our team at A Cat’s Life Rescue is one of the few that doesn’t turn away complex medical cases. We jumped into action, trapping Butters and rushing him to our veterinarian.
We immediately knew caring for Butters would be expensive. He would require 24/7 monitoring and wound care, in addition to medications. But because of our powerful community of cat allies, we knew we could fight with him. This giving season, will you consider making a donation of $10, $100, or even $1,000 to give hope to cats like Butters? If your donation is received by Dec. 31st, it will have double the impact as a part of our year-end matching fund!
