Campaign Description

The fall season is a reminder of life's changes and dormant times, which allow us to restore and renew. Ascent Cognitive Education Center is dedicated to helping Colorado families living with chronic conditions improve brain health and thrive. Our Halloween Hike-a-thon is one of our final fundraisers of the year and is designed to allow families and friends to get out and enjoy all the benefits of a fall hike.

Ascent Cognitive Education Center is the only one of its kind in the Rocky Mountain region. Our Ascent Resilient Mind Method is a unique program that combines the power of three scientifically proven systems of learning and cognitive development;

1.      The Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment program was created by Reuven Feuerstein, post World War II to help child survivors of the holocaust build and restore brain function.

2.      Positive Education, which is the educational section of the Positive Psychology discipline.

3.      Our Aspects of Identity Thrive program, helps solidify your identity and sense of self for long-term success.

Our programs have been scientifically proven to help with the following conditionsAddiction Recovery, ADHD, Alzheimer's, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Depression, Down Syndrome, Learning Disabilities, PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, and so much more!

The purpose of this Hike-a-thon is to encourage family and friends of all who live with the effects of these conditions to get out, hike their favorite Colorado trail, celebrate Halloween, and harness your power to help others improve brain health and thrive. When you start your own team and fundraiser, we encourage you to share what and who you are hiking for. Don't forget to name your team and take a picture at the top to share on our social media pages! I will start the first team and provide an example on our first fundraising page. So, if you need an example, check out my team's pages.

1.      Decide on a date, location, team, and trail that works for you!

2.      Decide if you want to go in costume or just in your favorite hiking gear, depending on what is best for the safety of your team.

3.      Set a Goal on how much your team would like to help us raise. The Campaign goal is $40,000.

6.      Make sure to share your team's adventure on your fundraiser page and make sure that all donations have been submitted by midnight, MSTNovember 5, 2021.

7.      Know that you are helping improve brain health and making a difference for numerous Colorado families with every step you take!
