Heather loved spending time with her children and was a devoted wife and mother. She had a fun-loving personality and was always one to reach out to others. She truly was an amazing example of giving and was always helping others in large and small ways. Heather was the queen of handwritten thank-you notes and sent them often to friends and family. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures.

She loved chatting with friends, cooking, participating in her Bunco Group, doing home projects with her husband, Nick, boating with her family, serving in various church callings, and supporting her kids in their activities. She was a nutrition educator and loved working and spending time with her co-workers. At the end of the day, if asked what her greatest accomplishment was she would simply say, “My family.”

On the morning of May 31, 2019, Heather went in for a routine C-section. She was blessed to be able to hold her sweet, healthy baby girl for a moment before they needed to take the baby to the nursery. About 15 minutes later Heather told her nurse she was feeling dizzy and short of breath and then lost consciousness. The OB staff, ER staff, ICU staff, heart and lung specialists, and life flight crew worked tirelessly trying to save her, but she passed away a few hours later with her husband, parents, and parents-in-law by her side.
