In 2011, two Washington communities, Wenatchee and Trilogy, joined hands and signed a pledge commitment to raise the $100,000 investment goal over five years. Communities working together can, in fact, change the world. Please consider joining a village that still needs support:
Jambo! My name is Elisha Mwatonoka. I am 11 years of age and I study in Standard 6 at Kasanga Primary School.
My father and mother both died of AIDS. I live with my grandmother, grandfather, three brothers and one sister.
My favorite work is to do the farm work because then I can get food to eat. We grow maize, banana, yams, coffee and tea. After school, I feed the cows, pigs, chickens and our cat.
My favorite subject at school is science because I learn about the human body and the sensory system.
I want to see electricity, radios and other tools and machinery in my village.
