Jambo! My name is Furaha Beni. I am 13 years old and I study in Standard 7 at Mapambano Primary School.

I live with my grandmother and sister. My father and mother both died in an accident.

At home I fetch water, clean the compound and when I am done with work I eat and go to study. We grow maize, Irish potatoes, banana and all this is for eating but the potatoes are for business.

My favorite subject at school is mathematics because I love doing calculations.

My dream is to become President because I want to lead my country.

I want my village to have piped water, a clinic, good roads, a good market and my school to be built well.
