Asian legend says that folding 1,000 origami cranes earns you a wish.
Asian Family Support Services of Austin (AFSSA) wishes for Safety, Health, and Peace for everyone in our community--and YOU have the power to make these wishes come true!
Every year, we work with a local artist to create an original art installation using origami cranes. This year we are collaborating with local artist, Teruko Nimura. Check out her work at www.terukonimura.net.
Every crane we fold takes flight in the installation with a $10 sponsorship.
Every dollar you give provides life-changing services for the survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking in our community.

There are lots of ways to participate in 1000 Cranes of Peace! Every dollar you give supports our caring and life-changing services.
— CREATE YOUR OWN FLOCK: Enlist your friends, colleagues and family members to sponsor numerous cranes that will be part of this year’s installation! Each crane that gets sponsored on your team will get your Flock’s name listed. All Flock leaders and sponsors are invited to the Tiffany & Co. unveiling on July 13th. Click on "Start a Fundraiser" to get started!
— SPONSOR THE CRANES: Cranes take flight as part of the installation when you sponsor it for $10 each. Sponsor as many as you’d like. This is also a great way to honor someone with a cranes named after them. Find your flock at https://pages.donately.com/afssaustin/fundraisers
— HOST YOUR OWN CRANE PARTY: For a donation of $25, we’ll send you everything you need to host your own crane-folding event. Gather friends, coworkers and kids for a fun experience in folding origami cranes. Send back some of your Instagram-worthy cranes and they may get included in the installation! Email us at info@afssausitn.org to get the party started!
