Suzanne was grateful for her years spent at ASFA and worked to instill in her students the skill, dedication, and love for dance that she discovered while studying ballet at ASFA. Suzanne's influence as a teacher went beyond ballet combinations; she helped her students find self-confidence, discipline, and most importantly the joy of dance. Suzanne passionately believed in the power of ballet and all arts, to help young people find their center and discover the truth and beauty in each moment. Always curious and sincerely interested in others, she never met a stranger. People could not help but respond to her cheerful spirit and open heart.

A native of Mobile, Suzanne attended local schools until she left home to study at the Alabama School of Fine Arts with Sonia Arova and Thor Sutowski. In 1984, she received a summer scholarship to the School of American Ballet in New York, and in 1985 was a member of the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Program Carlisle Choreography. In 1985, Suzanne received the Prix D'Excellence de Danse from the Alabama School of Fine Arts, and a Merit Award from the National Foundation Advancement in the Arts Recognition Talent Search. Suzanne performed with the State of Alabama Ballet, the Hartford Ballet, the Ohio Ballet, and the Lake Erie Ballet, toured with Sesame Street Live, was a member of Mobile Ballet, and a faculty member of the Mobile Dance Center. Suzanne was a guest choreographer with Eastern Shore Dance Academy from 2000-2001 and was an instructor for ESDA from 2002-2020.
