Alessio Mazzi Local-International Rower

I'm Alessio Mazzi, and I'm thrilled you've visited my campaign page. As a native Floridian with Bolivian roots, rowing has become a significant part of my life, taking me to international stages like the U19 World Championships in Paris, where I proudly reached the quarter-finals at just 16. This year, I'm setting my sights on competing again at the U19 World Championships in Canada and participating in the Pre-Olympic Regatta and Las Americas Regatta in Brazil, events I've been invited to by the FISA Youth Development Program. Rowing has not only allowed me to travel the world but also to connect with fellow athletes, opening my eyes to the broader aspects of life.
Academically and athletically, I've strived to excel. I'm honored to be a part of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and Athletic Honor Society. I'm also looking forward to an internship at SutiSana in Bolivia, a freedom business fighting against human trafficking, where I hope to contribute to their mission of providing dignified employment for women escaping sexual exploitation. My rowing achievements, like securing 4th place at the USRowing Youth Summer Nationals, becoming a State Champion, and competing internationally at the Head of the Charles Regatta and U19 World Championships, represent not just my dedication to the sport but also my commitment to personal growth and making a positive impact in the world.
