Dear Past President,

Thank you so much for all you have given to the American Psychosocial Oncology Society over the years.  Even through our service, we can acknowledge that APOS has given back to all of us in return.  It has been a great contributor of our professional careers, provided a critical network of colleagues and collaborators, and continues to be the only multidisciplinary organization in the United States dedicated to researching and treating the psychosocial aspects of cancer. APOS is a critical organization to our field, to us, and to all those who come after us. 

APOS is pleased to continue a very special fundraising effort, the Past President’s Fund.  This fund provides a special opportunity for all APOS Past Presidents to continue their service to, and their leadership within APOS through an annual gift. In addition to our strategic plan and 2020 Roadmap, APOS is committed to relevant and specific core values that will blaze a trail for our profession at this critical time. Your generosity will help to support the fulfillment of these values: 

 Respects the individual and cultural diversity of the human experience across the lifespan and throughout the continuum of cancer care.

• Promotes the science and practice of psychosocial oncology as evidence-based and integral to quality cancer care.
• Facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration through research, education, mentorship, and professional networking.
• Fosters the exchange of diverse views and expertise of our multidisciplinary members.
• Adheres to the highest integrity, honesty, and accountability to professional ethics in research and clinical practice.

This year, we would like to honor our APOS members working on the frontline with a goal of raising $5,000 from our Past Presidents.  I am making a donation in the amount of $750.00 and hope you will join me in making a meaningful gift to APOS to honor our friends and colleagues during this crisis. Your donation to this Fund can help demonstrate how important it is for all members to help APOS continue to do its important work and provide the organizational network so critical to our field.
