The best way to make sure there are always wild places and wild birds--make sure there are young birders who care about them. ASCM's wildlife sanctuaries make homes for resident and migratory birds, and are welcoming places for people like my son Eli to learn how to bird. This winter, he ventured to Florida's Corkscrew Swamp, but he'll always treasure the birds he's gotten to know through ASCM.
