A Great City With a Dream Unfulfilled

Atlanta, Georgia is a historic global business hub and home to the busiest airport in the world. Yet even with great wealth, intellectual capital, and a rich culture, youth in Atlanta face significant barriers to growing up well. The city in which Dr. King’s dream was born is very much in a struggle to see their own young people realize it.  

Launching High Impact, Evidence Based Solutions for At Risk Youth in Atlanta

Boy With a Ball is raising $450k to hire the staff necessary to launch our Love Your City community development program in as many as three neighborhoods.   

Our Plan:  

Our hope is to launch Love Your City in three neighborhoods under the direction of three teams within three partnerships.  We will launch Love Your City in partnership with City of Refuge on Atlanta’s west side. We are working with the City of Atlanta’s Mayor’s Office as far as launching Love Your City in one of the majority Latino neighborhoods they have been working in. Each Love Your City implementation will reach between 500 and 3,000 youth and family members.
