Love Your City is our method for change and impact across a city. It starts with a dedicated team who gathers others to go out into hurting neighborhoods in their community. Week after week, the group builds relationships with every resident, learning what young people and their families face. Out of these weekly "Walkthroughs," high-impact programs, mentoring relationships, and small groups form to help young people and their families grow. All the while, different players join in- local churches, businesses, and schools find their part in serving, caring, extending, and supporting. A church steps out and learns week after week what it really means to love their neighbors. Local businesses turn outward to invest in growing the next generation and they grow, going beyond profit to legacy. And networks of support are built and strengthened across the city. 

Struggling neighborhoods are a result of lack of care from across the community. Love Your City serves as the place for every part of the city to come together to help young people grow and their community be a better and better place for youth and families to grow. 

Boy With a Ball Gwinnett has been in our Love Your City community in Norcross since 2017. Located in one of the United Way's "red areas" on the Child Well-Being Index, our neighborhood was weighed down with crime and struggling to find footing as many families immigrated to the U.S. looking for more for their families. 

Years later, there are 0 reports of crime in the neighborhood. Our weekly tutoring center serves dozens of students throughout the year and their connectedness to school increases as caring volunteeer tutors pour into them every Saturday. Small groups like ESL and boys and girls groups give young people and their families a community "with a mission" as they build meaningful relationships and work towards reaching their dreams.
