Hello family and friends, thank you for taking the time to read this and for being part of my journey!
From a young age, God placed a quiet but persistent tug in my heart toward those experiencing poverty. Growing up in Nigeria, as a child I had friends who did not know where their next meal would come from. Seeing that reality up close shaped how I viewed people, need, and compassion long before I had the language to describe it as a calling. Those early experiences stayed with me and later became the foundation for how God would continue to form my heart.
Over the years, that burden was deepened through mission experiences both locally and globally. Each mission trip I participated in during the last 3 years added clarity and weight to what God was doing within me. Serving across four different countries and in places often overlooked, including prisons, allowed me to see poverty not only as a lack of resources, but as something that affects identity, opportunity, and hope. With every experience, the Gospel met me in a deeper way and continually moved my heart from short term involvement toward a growing conviction to devote my life to serving others in whatever way God was calling me.
Scripture reminds us in James 2:5 that God has chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and heirs of His Kingdom. That has continually shaped how I see people and communities.
In this next season, God is calling me to live out that burden locally in Dallas as a missionary focused on community development. I will be partnering with Boy With A Ball, an organization whose mission is to use the Gospel to bring long term transformation to impoverished communities. A significant part of this work is investing in youth, helping raise up the next generation of leaders, disciples, and impact makers who can bring hope and restoration within their own communities and in the Kingdom of God.
As Dallas Program Director, I will support community-based programs, walk alongside youth and families, equip volunteers, and partner with local leaders to pursue sustainable, Gospel-centered impact.
On a personal level, I have made a commitment to pursue a life devoted to serving others and to trust that God will provide what is needed along the way. I believe that God is faithful to sustain what He calls us to.
