The Brendan D. Downey Memorial Fund, Inc. is a 501c 3 organization incorporated in the state of Virginia on May 8, 2018. The purpose of the incorporation is to raise funds to award scholarships to graduating seniors who suffer from a medically-documented chronic illness. We lost our son, who was epileptic, on 5 September 2017. Our vision for the Memorial Fund is to offer students with unique challenges a way to move to the next level of their education – whether it is a two-year, four-year, or vocational/technical institution.
