Campaign Description
Through the Bridges to Prosperity University Program, students at eleven different universities are putting their engineering skills to amazing use: building bridges across the globe with communities who are isolated from essential services like healthcare, education, and markets. This work enables students to see the impact they can have in the world as engineers. They are empowered to develop leadership skills and gain a global perspective that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Over the last ten years, twenty B2P university chapters have built sixty bridges in ten countries, providing over 90,000 people with safe access.
We've accomplished a lot in ten years, but having witnessed firsthand the struggles of those who were isolated by impassable rivers, and knowing there are still 1 billion people who face the same challenge, we want to do more. Over the next two years, we want to help B2P scale their efforts by expanding the University Program. But to do this, we need your help!
By donating to the University Program, you’ll help sustain and grow the Program with funds to host the annual university training conference, train partner organizations to assist university chapters with bridge building in the countries where they work, and resource engineering professionals to mentor university teams.
