Social Impact and Culture Committee Scholarship Opportunity

Led by AMP’s Social Impact and Culture Committee, the AMP Advertising Music Scholarship’s specific mission is to foster greater awareness and access to this industry among the Black community, with an initial emphasis on youth and student communities that are underserved in NYC and LA.

With these funds, we intend to directly support the advancement and integration of a much more diverse musical community.

Our scholarship looks to include:

• Admission to an online or in-person course in either Music Production or Music Business, offered by either a college-level establishment or production training program. (Estimated value: $1,500 - $2,400)
• Music Production Kit including laptop, DAW, audio interface and sample libraries (Estimated value: $4,239) AMP hopes to fund this scholarship through donations and sponsorship from both music industry organizations and companies (for example, Apple, Native Instruments, Focusrite, Ableton) as well as advertising industry organizations (Agencies, Production Companies, or Brands).

Scholarship application requirements include a cover letter, letter of recommendation, and (1) work example (song or production) if desired. Applications will be assessed based on level of interest and proficiency shown.

Applicants must be a high school level Junior or Senior OR college student and not be a commercially signed or supported artist.

The scholarship will be announced at the 2026 AMP Awards industry event. Scholarship recipients will also be invited to a ”meet & greet” event comprised of AMP Member professionals, providing a potential opportunity for internships, mentorships, job opportunities or general networking.

TOTAL SCHOLARSHIP GOAL: $8,000 / 5 Scholarships Awarded per Calendar Year
