As some of you may know, I sit on the board of Care 2 Communities (C2C), a nonprofit creating a model for sustainable, community-based healthcare in Haiti. C2C meets the needs of poor families by delivering low-cost, high-quality primary care through a social enterprise clinic model. "GIFT A LIFE" is C2C's campaign to reduce maternal and child deaths in Haiti. Our goal is to provide comprehensive services for pregnant women, from the onset of pregnancy through the baby's first year of life. My personal goal is to raise $5,000 to ensure safe motherhood for 200 women. That's just $25 for one healthy pregnancy.
