Smith-Barnes Elementary is located in Stockbridge, Georgia. 280 children attend this Henry County elementary school. 84% of those children are considered "at risk" due to their socio-economic status.

Stockbridge First Baptist Church has been bringing the "good news" of Jesus to Smith-Barnes, sharing the Gospel each week in Good News Club®, an after school Bible club. This year alone, five precious children gave their hearts to Jesus Christ!

Here are a few examples of the impact that is being made-

One of our GNC girls folded her prayer slip. Inside she had written, "Help my mom stop sinning." What burdens these dear children must be carrying!

Our Good News Club meets in the art room, and the teacher, is sometimes in the room. She was telling a coworker about how great GNC was; so I offered her a registration form for her 4th grade son, who attends another Henry County school. So now he is enrolled….and came home telling her all about Noah and the flood! “Good News” is for sharing!

Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF®) is a Bible-centered, worldwide organization that is dedicated to seeing every child reached with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, discipled and established in a local church. We partner with churches in the Southern Crescent area of metro Atlanta: Butts, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Meriwether, Pike, Rockdale and Spalding Counties. Last year we had 49 after school Bible clubs, "Good News Clubs", meeting in public elementary schools reaching almost 3,000 children with the life saving message of Jesus Christ!
