April is recognized nationally as Second Chance Month and at Christian Legal Aid of DC, our staff and volunteer attorneys provide legal services to low-income, vulnerable and homeless people at no cost so that they access justice and experience mercy. Old criminal records should not be a lifelong sentence and should not prevent jobs, housing, licensing, and people's desire to regain their dignity and sense of worth.
