Campaign Description

Dear CLC students and families,

As some of you may know, Rachel is having a hysterectomy on November 5. To give her the time she needs to rest and recover, Connections Learning Center will be closed for much of November.

Rachel puts so much of herself into Connections and the students and families who make this community special. Now, we’re asking our community to help give her the chance to focus on healing while maintaining the business she has worked so hard to build.

Owning a small business often means going without the safety net of paid time off or employer-provided healthcare. When Rachel cannot work, the income that keeps Connections running is interrupted, but the operating expenses continue. Rent, utilities, insurance, and other essential bills still need to be paid, even while the doors are closed.

We are collecting donations to help cover those expenses during her recovery and ensure Connections can continue serving our students when she returns. Your support will help ease the pressure running the business while Rachel takes the time she needs to heal.

If you are able to contribute, any amount would mean so much. Our goal is to raise $2500. CLC is a 501(c)3 non-profit and donations are tax-deductible. We know every family’s circumstances are different, and there is no expectation to give. Sharing this request and sending Rachel a little encouragement are meaningful ways to help, too.

Please stay tuned as our team puts together group sessions and other opportunities to keep students engaged and connected as much as possible throughout November. We’ll share details once available. We also want to let everyone know that I-ASC certified practitioner Gus Bahl is available for sessions at the office for the next few weeks, until early November. Gus's is both a practitioner and a communication partner for his brother. This is a great chance to work with a different, experienced practitioner, generalizing skills to other communication partners. Please let us know if you're interested in scheduling a session with Gus.

Thank you for being part of Connections and for helping care for the person who gives so much to this community. We are grateful for your kindness, patience, and support during this time.

With gratitude,

The Connections Learning Center Team

Rachel, Maira, Catalina and Meagan
