Everyday individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) enter hospitals seeking to alleviate their excruciating pain or treatment for a potentially life-threatening complication. As an advocate raising funds for Crescent, I will be more than a fundraiser. I will be a game-changer for survivors who are facing unfair stigma and health disparities; for healthcare providers and future medical leaders; and for young adults living with SCD preparing for the critical moment in their lives of transitioning from pediatric care to adult health facilities.

With approximately 100,000 known living with SCD in the US, we’d like to educate 100,00 people on SCD, and raise $100,000 –$1 for every survivor.
