Tyler and I have chosen to be part of something extraordinary. During the month of September, we will help celebrate survivors thriving with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and their communities who are impacted by this devastating and painful disease. Why would we do something like this? Because 100,000 known survivors are not only silently living through awful pain crises and different life-threatening complications, but also facing harsh stigmas and unfair biases due to a broken healthcare system. Through the Crescent Foundation, we can fight for these survivors and their future. Oh! and our dear, dear, DEAR friend Kyle Smith has poured his heart and soul into this organization and we couldn't be prouder to support him.
