Hi, welcome to my support raising page! If you don’t already know me, my name is Alexa Long. I am graduating from Trevecca Nazarene University in May (whoo!) with a degree in Religious Studies and a minor in Organizational Communication. I’ve had the absolute privilege and honor of both serving at and attending the Delight chapter at my school, Trevecca, since my freshman year. Now, I am so excited to be able to pour back into a ministry that has poured into me as I serve and work for Delight this next year as a Regional Director!

If you’re unfamiliar with the ministry of Delight, Delight is a college women’s ministry that brings Christ-centered community to women all across the country! Personally, when I was only a freshman, I got to be a part of the start-up team that brought Delight to our campus and through the ministry God shaped me profoundly. I can honestly say that I don’t know what my college experience would’ve looked like without Delight; it was the place where I could go to be deeply and fully loved in a community of women with an all-encompassing love for God. Delight is so much more than a Bible study, but it is a means of grace for college women who are looking for spaces to feel known, challenged, and encouraged in their faith.

As a Regional Director, I will get to walk alongside the women of the 15-20 different universities in my region supporting them in their student-led ministry! My job is to serve as a sister in Christ, mentor, and resource to these wonderful women who have given God their yes to serve on their own college campuses. For me, this is a deep honor as I get to offer support and service to these women as they serve their campuses faithfully; I get to be a servant to the servants of God.

My goal is to raise $45,000 by August 1st to be able to fully fund the ministry I will be participating in with Delight this next year; this money will go towards covering both my living expenses and ministry expenses including all the travel I will be doing to visit my schools!

As mentioned before, God, through Delight, has changed my life. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude to be able to give the next year of my life in service back to a ministry that has been so meaningful to me. Without God’s grace, your prayers, and your financial support, this ministry would not be possible. God is bringing new creation into the lives of these college women and it’s so special that we get to be a part of it!
