Hi, welcome to my support raising page! If you don’t know me, my name is Ella McKinney! I will be graduating from Western Carolina University in May with my BS in forensic anthropology and a minor in chemistry. Currently, I am serving as the Team Director for the Delight Ministries chapter at WCU, and I have been a leader in this ministry since my freshman spring semester. As a college women’s ministry, Delight has greatly impacted my college experience and walk with the Lord, helping transform my own story as well as many other women’s. Now, I am excited to have the privilege of working with them full time as a Regional Director!

Delight is more than just a Bible study. It is a Christ-centered community where all women are welcomed, loved, and encouraged in their relationship with Christ. Delight chapters on college campuses across the country meet weekly to study scripture while fostering vulnerability and making lifelong connections with other women. Throughout each semester, chapters intentionally plan worship nights, community service events, and community gatherings to cultivate relationships while continuing to grow in the Lord and point others to Him. 

As a Regional Director, I get to walk alongside Delight leaders at around 20 different schools within the western North Carolina and South Carolina region. I will be acting as a resource for these women, supporting and mentoring them as they lead Delight on their campuses. My role will help ensure that chapters and their leaders are thriving and growing in their Delight community according to God’s design. Since this ministry is completely student-led, it is essential for someone in my position to pour into these women and be someone for them to lean on as they partner with God in making disciples at their very own schools. 

Guided by Delight headquarters and my support raising coach, my goal is to raise $45,000 to cover the cost of this position. This amount will include my 10 months’ worth of ministry and living expenses, as well as travel and transportation expenses needed as I visit the leaders and chapters in my region. My hope is to be fully funded by August 1st, before the start of the fall semester for the schools I will be working with. 

Throughout my time in Delight, I have witnessed and experienced the Lord’s power and movement within this ministry time and time again. I can confidently say that God used Delight to change my life! For several months now, He has placed it on my heart to give back to this ministry and help further its impact on other women across the nation. The Lord has continually affirmed that being a Regional Director is what I need to be doing for the next year of my life, and I am so excited to trust Him in this next season.
