Be A Part of the Preservation Movement at Elfreth’s Alley Museum!
Since the origins of the Elfreth’s Alley Association, our mission has been to preserve not only the stories of the everyday Philadelphians who called this street home, but to also protect and preserve the museum houses which originate from 1775. Preservation has many faces but at its core is maintenance and in particular, maintaining what is here for future generations. You now have a unique opportunity of not only being a part of maintaining the Elfreth’s Alley Museum but doubling your donation.
Through the City of Philadelphia’s matching grant program called the Storefront Improvement Program, you can help us repaint the facade of 124 and 126 as well as repair missing/broken features. These improvements will go a long way to helping us welcome millions of visitors in 2026 for the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America.
