Encinitas4Equality seeks to make continued education post-high school accessible to all young adults despite obstacles they had to overcome in their youth. These obstacles can noticeably impact their academic performance, further limit access to continued education, scholarships, and mentorships. 

In its pilot year, 2021, E4E awarded 9 scholarships to graduating high school seniors from San Diego totaling $24,000. This is in huge thanks count-less volunteer hours and generous donations from Vuori, the Peters family and 100s of community members. All scholarship recipients have been paired with a mentor for a minimum of one year to help ease the transition into this demanding next stage of life. 

Our objective for 2022 is to increase our scholarship fund from $24,000 to $35,000. We intend to offer the 9 students from 2021 an opportunity to re-apply in 2022 while selecting 5 additional students from the graduating class of 2022. $1500 directly impacts one student while $10,000 can impact up to 6 students. In order to raise $35,000 by May of 2022 we are launching our Scholarship and Mentorship campaign on Giving Tuesday Nov 30, 2021 and would be grateful for your support.

It is the VISION of the E4E Mentorship and Scholarship Program to ensure ALL students within our community will have the opportunity and resources to identify and achieve their goals post-high school.
