Happy Holidays 2022!!! 

This year Encinitas4Equality has the opportunity to support 35 families in our EUSD and SDUHSD community.    As we begin to celebrate the winter holidays with our families, we know that one of the greatest gifts we can hope to receive is the love and joy that comes with being of service to others and giving generously.    

Since the fall of 2020 E4E has built relationships with many EUSD students who are part of our weekly tutor program, in the past we hosted toy and gift drives, however we have learned that this does not lead to an equitable distribution of gifts in families that have many children.  In which case we have decided the best gift we can give to these families is cash, and allow them to decide how to best celebrate the holidays with some extra love.   

Our goal is to gift $75 per family that we currently tutor (22 families) - for a total of $1650.  

We have also been contacted by a teacher at Oak Crest Middle School who works with the English Learners Newcomer Program.  This year they are hoping to gift 13 new families with welcome baskets full of love (gift cards, some snacks & treats, warm blankets)  Our goal is to raise $75 per family of the English Learners Newcomer Program at Oak Crest Middle School (13 families) for a total of $975.
